Meadowcreek High School Orchestra Mission and Profile
Our Mission
The mission of the Meadowcreek High School
orchestra is to educate students according to the
standards set forth by the Gwinnett County Public
Schools'
Academic Knowledge and Skills.
In addition, the orchestra seeks to provide
opportunities that will instill a love a music in an
effort to create life long participants, supporters, and
advocates of the arts.
Orchestra Profile
The orchestras participate in at least 6 public
performances in a given school year.
Our
students have the opportunity to participate in one of
two orchestras, Symphonic Orchestra (by audition) or
Concert Orchestra. In addition solo and small ensemble
performance opportunities are available.
Students
have the opportunity to audition for honor orchestras,
GMEA District 13 honor orchestra, All-State Orchestra,
and Solo and Ensemble events.
Our
students are part of the most diverse school in Gwinnett
County. This diversity brings a wealth of peer
interactions unavailable in many schools. Respect and
understanding of all people in encouraged and expected.
